Quality Center vs QC Starter Edition

As the name would suggest, QC Starter edition is the entry level version of Quality Center. QC starter edition has limited support for various platforms, app servers, web servers and databases.

For instance:

• QC supports Windows, Solaris and Linux while QC starter edition only supports Windows platform.
• QC supports Weblogic, WebSphere and JBoss while QC starter edition supports JBoss app server only.
• QC supports Apache, IIS, JBoss, WebLogic and WebSphere while QC starter edition supports IIS and JBoss only.
• QC supports Mocrosoft SQL server, MSDE, Oracle while QC starter edition supports MSDE database only.
• Business process testing (BPT) is not available for QC starter edition
